Docomo Tourist SIM Card Osaka, Japan – Download Speed and Signal Strength

I am currently located at Osaka, Japan. Before I arrived, I ordered the “Unlimited 4G Data 8 Days Usage” tourist NTT DoCoMo SIM card from klook.com, for my Android phone for 2200 Japanese Yen and picked it up from Kansai airport (KIX) when I arrived.

I thought it would be useful and cool to share my experience with this Klook SIM card as I travel through different places in Osaka, Japan.

In general, I get 4G connectivity most of the time, and the connection is good. The problem is that the download speed is relatively slow. I checked it against SoftBank Wi-Fi and it was way faster.

I use SpeedTest Android app to test the signal strength and the speed at different locations, so you can observe and see for yourself how good this Unlimited 4G Data SIM card is when you order it from Klook.com website.

Here is the NTT Docomo SIM card signal strength and download speed test, tested in Osaka, Japan. Signal strength and download speed may vary. I only share my experience, and you might get different results as this is related to many variables that some of them I don’t have control of.

App used: WiFi ARCore by Wi-Fi Solutions, Speedtest by Ooka.
